'93 Toyota Camry LE 4 Cyl - Three days ago I put some gas in my completely empty tank and about 10 miles later it starting acting like it was missing (putting & vibrating) very badly. I turned the car off & on a few times and it stopped the next day it started again and hasn't stopped. I had the oil changed - all fluid levels were okay. I added Slick 50 Fuel System treatment to about a half a tank of gas - it helped by giving me a little more power upon acceleration but it's still putting & vibrating bad - mainly when idle or coming to a stop - Really bad when in reverse with the AC on????? Any ideas where I should start?

Re: 93 Camry 4 Cyl Putting & Vibrating Bad
You can try putting in some alcohol-based additive into the gas tank. It is likely that you introduced some water into the gas tank.
If you got some particulate matter into the tank, you will have to remove the tank, empty it, and put in new filters, tank and line. |

Re: Re: 93 Camry 4 Cyl Putting & Vibrating Bad
Hey man, when you ran the tank empty, your pump sucked up some of the junk that everyone gets from the gas station fuel. Your best bet is to change the fuel filter, hopefully it did it's job and got the junk before it got to your injectors.
good luck man |
