Do Malibus eat rotors?

I replaced my rotors and pads on my 03 Malibu 6 months ago and the rotors are warped and my pads need to be replaced again.

Should I go with slotted drilled rotors and ceramic pads?

I put in some cross drilled rotors and at the same time, some 9-11 (that's the brand name) pads. Seems to have eliminated my brake issues. I don't know if the pads are anything special, they are what the guy I bought the rotors from recommended.

Re: Do Malibus eat rotors?

If you have warped rotors already, I too would go a different route. i.e. slotted or crossdrilled. It seems that the rotors are getting too hot, and doing something like vented rotors will help eliminate this, I think that is the best thing you can do for braking in any car.

Problem with using ceramic pads is that it takes a lot longer and harder breaking to get the ceramic pads hot enough to have good breaking. If you have cold winters or do a lot of short trips, I would recommend against using those. An organic or semi-metalic pads would be better for those applications.
