Tiptronic "T" to a Top botton straight shifter?

This is not an important question like other questions in this forum but I have to ask. I hate my "T" tiptronic shifter on my '00 PASSAt 2.8 is so uncomfterble.
Has any one or is it even possible to change it to a top botton shifter? Has any one done it? I seen an aftermarket LEVCO shifter I liked, but I'm not going to spend $95 and not be able to do it. Please help me out, Thanks!

It is possible - there is a slight modification you need to do and then you can use almost any shift knob you want. With the mod, you pull up on the knob to shift not push a top button though.

If you go to www.clubb5.com and search on "tip mod" you should find what you're looking for. Check in the Group Buy section for the Walt version and the SPP versions.

Hope this helps.
