plug wires for 4g64?

when i recently went to do a tune up on my 2001 gs i searched online all over for aftermarket spark plug wires. hoping to find a set of 9.0 mm wires. to my dismay, i couldn't find anything. so i finaly contacted a guy who costome makes wires localy for all of the circle track cars. he said that it would be pointless to put on thicker wires on the two plugs since the other two have the coil sitting right on top of them. i then thought of getting a whole new ignition set up from someone like MSD, but have not been able to find anything out there. if you know of anyone who has had sucsuss in this area please let me know. thanks.

Re: plug wires for 4g64?

There is no upgraded ignition system for the 3G RS/GS right now. I did have a talk with a Nology rep about 2 months ago, and they told me that it would be possible to convert motorcycle coild for use on the engine, but that some customization would be needed.

Using their coild and wires would result in a gain, but not really all that much. The stock ignition system is fine until you are ready to move to the full standalone system.

AEM makes their EMS which can be used in the manual. There are also various other companies out there such as F.A.S.T., and MoTec.
