my firend is a prowd owner of an 89 turbo shadow

anyways thier have been a few things done to the motor already like the new watsegate adjustable fpr full exhaust (custom not a brand name) no muffler just a cherri bomb. it was running at about 20+ pounds of boost so i turned it down to 10. i want to know everything about these cars, point me in the direction of web sights that tell everything. or you could just givbe me some pointers. any help would be appreciated

Sounds like the previous owner may have been a fellow turbododger...

New wastegate? an external one? Does it have the stock mitsu turbo (look under the intake manifold behind the airbox, if it doesn't say "GARRETT" than it's probly a mitsu...

Is it intercooled? If it is intercooled, has enough fuel, and isn't running the stock turbo, then turn her back up to 20 and go stomp some rice! Otherwise, turn it to 12 and still have lots of fun!

thanks for the info yes its a stock turbo dont know wich one and we have a free intercooler on the way

and yes we need to redo all the hoses on the car because this guy was happy with the cutters when it came to the hoses in this car

I wouldn't run over 15 PSI on that turbo, then. You won't make any extra power over 15, really. But, intercooled 15 PSI is fun with a mitsu...
