Question 2K Civic vs. 93 Integra... Who'd win.

OK, my friend has a '93 acura integra with a generic CAI, 17" Rims w\ Ecsta Kumho tires (exact same rim\tire setup as me, by accident) and that's it. My list of mods is below. I've been racing for 4 months.

You have to know him but basically, he has to always think he's right and he has to always think he's the best at anything and everything he does. Thats inclusive of racing. Since the first day I've had my Civic he's claimed he could beat me without trying. He's hardly ever raced, he's slow as hell on his shifts (but in his mind he is the greates ever) When I got my AEM intake he said he hated it because of the sound it makes and 2 weeks later he had me order the cheapest immitation of mine that I could find because, word for word, "he liked that sweet sound". Basically, anything that he likes or is better but can't afford to get he hates. So he's been saying my car is slow as shit and he could beat me hands down. I have no idea who'd win because most of what he says is bullshit and he knows nothing about engines so he doesn't have anything to back his against mine. All he can say is "mines faster". I've been trying to get him to race me for weeks now but it's been raining almost every day so we still can't.

I'm going to race him no matter what but to get a more accurate perception of our two cars, what does anyone/everyone else say?

I think it would be fairly close if he knew how to drive, but since you say that he pretty much sucks then I would have to say you. Considering you are both equal on tire set up, and that you have a header and a intake, I think that it may be close off the get go, but then you should easily pull away.

Last week, I raced a 1991 Integra with just a generic short ram intake. He took off even with me, but at second and third, around 80MPH, I was ahead by at least 4 cars, and pulling.

My engine and mods are as follows:

-SOHC non-VTEC 1.6 liter with stock internals

-DC 4-2-1 header

-2.5 inch re-pipe from the header to the Apex'i N1 3-inch muffler (one single pipe from the header to the muffler)

-custom cold-air intake (meaning I fabricated it from different 3-inch intake piping from my friend's shop---hey it was free...and it works)

-Ractive filter with heat shield placed in a ram-air position

-Sims hyper-clear distributor cap

-Ractive 9.3MM triple-magnetic plug wires

-Bosch Platinum+4's

-OBX short shifter

-16-inch wheel/tire combo with lower over-all diameter than the stock rim-tires, to lower final/final gearing(which are your tires )...

Your friend has some issues for sure. However, there is no reason you wont have a chance against him especially if he doesn't know how to get the best out of his car.

I think he has a chance of beating you, but if hes as slow as you make it sound, youll take him.

Only one way to solve this problem. The cars are pretty close in performance with him having a bit of an edge. But it will still come down to the driver.

If you really wanna put him away. Put a little "Sneaky Pete" bottle under your seat ad toast his ass like rye bread.

GO RACE!!!!!!!

Let us know how it turns out.
