Engine problem Help plz

OK well when i decide to floor my firebird sometimes, when i take off it feels like it hesitates, such as the rpms go up then back down and up again, like my car is going to stall, when i'm still giving it gas, does anyone know what the problem might be. Plz post a comment back thx

engine year would be vital but your trans might be the prob not the engine, i have a 3.4 v6 for everyday driving and my first gear is shitdoesnt like to shift out but doest like to do more than 5 mph, i hit about 6grand before it shifts and wants to die on me so i shift manually from second up

Re: Engine problem Help plz

it says he has a 95 firebird
it could be that he is spinning tire and then catching and the rpm's drop again to where they should be then accelorates. i had a 99 3.8 and it did that ever once in a while.... but he does need to give us more detail
