95 GSX or 97 GST

I just got a 95 GSX with 68k on it, and I was thinking about trading it for my brothers 97 GST with 72k on it. The GSX is black, and the GST is silver. I like my GSX, but I like the 97+ front end and side skirts... The thing is I dunno if I wanna trade him, cause I am more of a freeway racer then a dragger. What would you do?

well if you like the 97+ then you can just put the bumper and side skirts on there to make it look that way. if you want a higher top speed then you will probably want the gst. im still new to all of this but from what i understand the gsx kind of cuts out at higher speeds. but you will probably have to mess with the chip in the gst because it will restrict you.

Re: 95 GSX or 97 GST

I understand it the GSX is better at high speedsI thought i heard the GSX top speed as 140 and GST as 135. Also trading your very nice GSX for a GST is a bad idea unless you want to do a fav for your bro.

GSX isn't any better at top speeds. You wouldn't be racing to 140 anyway, partly because it's dangerous... and partly because it takes 3 minutes and 5 miles to get there.

GSX is more suited for drag .... no? Then what's the problem.. do the front end conversion and sideskirts... currently I'm looking for side skirts for my car too... oem ones are hard to find on the net. No junk yark around me has any nor shops.. only the dealership and they want 300 per-side... lol... oh well gotta keep looking.

Re: 95 GSX or 97 GST

GSX is way better off the line [AWD... duh] and GS-T is said to be more of a freeway killer... and i wonder how long it takes me to get to 140 from a stop, cuz it don't take long from 85 or so.
