1. Check with salvage yards in your area. Sometimes they network together and can get you one from another yard.
2. Check with local mechanics. Sometimes they know where to find a deal or a rebuild shop. 3. If all fails, the dealership.  |

Here in Houston a remanufactured 3.1L from a rebuilder is around $1000 with everthing to factory specs. From your junkyard you might get one a lot cheaper but you cannot tell the condition that well.
