Question: I need to change the oil pump in my '01 Dakota. To remove the oil pan do I need to pull the engine or drop the front end? Or will it come off without doing either of these? Please Help!! Thanks Ozzymamma |

Re: Removing oil pan to change oil pump??????
Just replaced one in a 2001... You will have to partially unbolt the front differential and let it hang, also you will have to remove the steering rack and pinion, then you can remove the oil pump. (Of course you will have to remove the oil pan also.)
