Re: SRT-10 vs. GTS

i would definitely take the srt-10. first of all, it does look better, and it is faster. i cant wait to see the coupe, i always like coupes better than convertibles.

The SRT-10 would be better than the GTS and this ain't a fact that the SRT-10 could beat the Murcielago because unless the Viper is modified by a tuner like Hennessey or Heffner.

guys its nice when you make absolute statements to bring actual data to the table.

like this....side by side comparo of an srt-10 and murcielago:

http://www.motortrend.com/features/s...int/index.html

btw i would like to add that as far as supercars go the murcielago is among the worse handling ones...suposedly it overloads quite a bit its front tires causing understeer

Yeah the Murc may not be the most impressive supercars (as far as performing) but none the less, its still impressive in my eyes. You are right Neutrino, it may not be the best handling car. When considering it weights a shy bit over 3600lbs w/o gas this can only further justify its feel and handling traits. I couldn't imagine filling up its 26.4 gallon fuel tank and expect it to fling around with the viper. On the track, I wouldn't be the least suprised if it fell short. Any car vs. a Viper will have its hands very very full.

Whenever I think of a Lambo the first thing to come to mine isn't always performance, but shear elegance fitted for any king. Even a step above Ferarri, and thats saying a lot considering where they stand.

... i like the looks of the murcielago a lot but when audi bought the name they wanted lamborghini to be more of a "practical" car... now wheres the fun in that? if your going to buy a 12 cylinder 2 seater mid engine awd car, i dont know why you would want it to be practical... if you want practical than dont by a lamborghini

also i dont think that f1 cars would have their hands very full since their adverage speed is about 240 or something like that depending on which course... i know thats not a just comparison but u did say n/e car

Re: SRT-10 vs. GTS

a lambo isnt even on the same level as ferrari let alone above it. a ferrari has performance and looks in one package.

there is an article in motortrend about hennessey tuning up the srt-10. the hennessey 650R (srt-10) stats: 0-60-3.0 sec 1/4 mile-10.76 sec. and these times are with n/a.

Re: SRT-10 vs. GTS

ze Chermans ruined ze Lamborghini Seriously the Murcie is a fricking boat, bin the AWD, save some weight and make a GT version I say.

I wouldn't trust Hennessey with a Civic, yet alone a Viper.

And I'll take the SRT10, what the original Viper should have been, ze Chermans didn't ruin zis car zey made eet better!!!!!

I'm just going to have to say on that. Even though I think the Murc is absolutely great at where it is at, a little weight saving would of made it only better. Only if they made a AWD/RWD option on the car.....that would of gave them one of the best of both worlds.

even though the Murc is damn sexy, I'm still going to have to give the thumbs up to Dodge in their new Viper.
