Anyone interested in a red 1996 Taurus SHO for sale? It's got the 3.4 liter V8 engine, automatic transmission, beautiful leather interior, spoiler, and more. Fully loaded and runs fantastic! Email me at [email protected] or call me at 1-888-641-5047. Kelley Blue Book is $6,500 low and $9,280 high. Make me an offer!

have the cams been welded? And how many miles? Has it had a valve adjustment? These are things I will need to know.

Cams, and valves
I don't know if the cams have been welded or not. I haven't had them welded. I also have not had the valves adjusted as there has been no need to do so, it runs flawlessly. It has under 81,000 miles.

If you don't know about the cams being welded it probally hasn't unless the previous owner was a SHO Enthusiast. In all reality your car is probally worth around 5K at the most. You are looking at around $700 to have the cams welded, which is a very needed modification.

I'd take as low as $5,800... someone could spend the $700 to get the cams welded and only be into the car for low book. I think that's more than fair considering how well this car drives and the overall condition.

Re: Re: 1996 Ford Taurus SHO For Sale
Hey Brian... You said you have several parts cars? Any 3.0L timing chain tensioners? Specifically the front, or the one near the radiator. As I have found out that these are obsolete. Is there anyway to rebuild these? Any help would be appreciated.
Eric 92 Triple Blk, and guess whats under my hood... =) |
