How long before the glue is set?
Right now I am using Testors glue in the orange tube. How long before you think it is set enough to sand a little, or start working with the pieces? Should 15 minutes be good?

I'm only ever used Tamiya glue, but 15-30 minutes sounds fine

When my testors stuff runs out I'll be trying that Tamiya glue. The friggin testors always give me those stupid strings of glue its so annoying!!
I think they tube says that it should set in about a hour but will fully cure in 24 hours...or I'm just talking out of my ass. ![]() BTW Pee.Man. is that the liquid glue that you apply to the seam and it leaches in? Or can you apply it directly to the part and stick them on? |

Give it a good while before you start sanding. A couple hours, at least. Plastic glue melts the plastic so the parts fuse together, and it takes a while for the plastic to re-harden. It may be softer than it looks for about a day.

With the testors crap I put a little glue on each part and stick them together. I've heard with the Tamiya you put the parts together first then touch a tooth pick or something with the glue on it, to the part and the glue will sort of seep between the parts.
Maybe I don't know WTF I'm talking about. |
