problems turning off

hey well i finally got my b16a into my 86 crx si and its runnin a lil choppy (need vacuum diagrams) but my question was why is it when i turn off the key it doesnt turn off? the lights in the dash radio turn off but motor keeps on goin i have to remove the coil plug or stall it (wow that coil can shock you) if you could plz help i would much apperciate it

Re: problems turning off

Start by making sure the ignition is wired correctly. It sounds like when you turn the car "off", the ignition is not cutting power to the coil. It could just be a short in the ignition system, or maybe the coil is wired around the ignition to a constant power supply. Check the voltage to the coil, with the car off the voltage should be 0.

Anyway, that's my best guess.
