Column shifter not going in park
2000 Ranger will not fully go in park position.

Is the transmission not shifting into Park and is still in Reverse? Is it shifting into Park, but just the indicator not moved over to Park?
The first could be the linkage under the vehicle. Bent or out of adjustment. The second could be a broken plastic guide for the shift indicator cable in the dash. Search YouTube for which one, there are plenty of videos on how to fix for each issue. |
