WIP: 1976 Porsche 930/934 Turbo RSR road/track refugee
Hello all, long-time lurker, first-time poster.
A bit of a zietgeist-y project here, with the 50th anniversary of the 911, Tamiya's release of the Jagermeister 934 last year, and the rising profiles of Singer and Magnus Walker. Going to generally try and keep this late 70s/early 80s period, so glassfibre rather than cf. Base model: Tamiya 24328 Jagermeister Porsche 934 Additional parts: Eduard pe seatbelts Hobby Design resin Sparco Evo seat MFH 1970s prototype tyres Racing 43 pe wheel fans* Tamiya 911 flatnose interior Modifications: Front splitter Front diveplanes* Vac-formed windows* Headlamps tinted yellow Rear window tinted yellow NACA duct in the right rear wheelarch Drilled rear bumper Exhaust silencer Gurney flap on rear wing * maybe Initial test fit: ![]() ![]() ![]() MFH 1970s tyres Good things: ![]() MFH tyres fit on the front rims perfectly ![]() stance appears to be generally 'good'... Less good things: ![]() ...if a little high at the rear. Front wheels also look a bit too far back maybe. ![]() And tyres fit a little less perfectly at the rear- predictable, given these are meant for Porsche 917s etc. Rims will need to be widened. ![]() some large gaps between the two halves of the body. The wheel fans are from a Lancia Delta: ![]() source: www.rallyefans.de/galerie/deutschland2003_2.html Interior inspiration: ![]() source: http://www.petrolicious.com/1971-porsche-911e |
