2001 Impala - sensors, gagues, coolant, etc

My 2001 Impala is experiencing multiple issues:

Check engine light is on for a fan sensor

The car blows hot air when the a/c is on, overheats, leaks coolant on the dirver's side, and often won't turn over - especailly when its hot.
I've preplaced the O2 sesor and radiator and the coolant system has been flushed - these seem to be related problems with the cooling system - any suggestions?

Also, the gas gague is unreliable - it will read 1/2 tank and 3-4 miles later read 1/8 tank....I have to keep it above 1/2 tank and have run out of gas becasue of this issue. The signal lights will also occasionally not work and the car won't turn over - electrical issues??? Any suggestions of where to start for this one?

The car also shudders when braking, although I have replaced the brakes and rotors witin the last 3 months.

It has been regularly maintained and had the transmission replaced in 2007 at 95,000 miles and fan belts replaced this year.

Any suggestions on where to start with these many issues would be greatly appreciated!

I have a problem with my gas gauge also, I haven't found a fix for this yet other than replacing the sensor in the gas tank for it that controls it, but I haven't tried it yet.

I just fill the car up and reset the trip, around 290-300 miles I need to refuel.

As for the turn signal/hazard lights, I had the problem also. I went to the junk yard and pulled the hazard light button (and the electrical thing the button is connected to) from a 2004 Impala. Replaced it in my car and I have had no problem since. (Been about 1 1/2 years now)

To replace the hazard lights gizmo, you have to pop off the dashboard.

Hope this helps =)

you have many different problems. first the overheating where you live with the coolant leaking means you must leak test your coolant system first and repair the leak.................only use dexcool and distilled water !

after the coolant system is corrected , then checking the ac for proper operation ..

fuel level would be the in tank sensor...use of techron injector cleaner with a few ounces of marvel mystery oil to the fuel may help with this problem..

brake problems with this , may indicate that the caliper[s] are defective .. check that they release the brakes and not drag...this will cause your problem very quickly...brake fluid needs replacing after many years of use.. when new brake pads are installed always open the bleed screw first then push the old brake pads/caliper pistons back...if you do not do this the old fluid will cause problems with the brake componets..
