2003 kia sorento Gauge

My 2003 Kia Sorento gauge isn't reading the right gas level. I changed the complete gas pump but still the gauge isn't reading the right gas level.

The gage is from the float not the pump. Their should be a resistor at the top of the float arm. I pulled my pump to change the fuel filter.
