Paint Code
On my 98- The VIN Tag has BC/CC U208C- is this the paint code?
I am having a hard time finding it online. I am told that the paint code has 'WA' in front of it so what about the 'U'? When I put 'WA' in front I come up with Med Dk Lichen Met. Seriously?? What the heck is Lichen?? This seems to be the only code for 1998 that could be the grey/greenish color of my car. Help!! ![]() |

Re: Paint Code
Lichen- any complex organism of the group Lichenes, composed of a fungus in symbiotic union with an alga and having a greenish, gray, yellow, brown, or blackish thallus that grows in leaflike, crustlike, or branching forms on rocks, trees, etc.
Lichen is usually green though. So Id say thats probably right. Are you looking at the RPO label in the trunk or what?

Re: Paint Code
Huh, never would have thought the word Lichen would be used as a paint code.
Yep- the RPO label on the trunk lid. |
