1993 BMW 318i E36 Spark Plug Leads - Need Help with Firing Order and Receptacle Placement

Hi,

I was changing my spark plug leads this afternoon (in preparation for a road trip, as the old ones were brittle and worn out), but now my 1993 BMW 318i E36 won't start. I’ve double-checked the firing order, which is 1-3-4-2, and I made sure to replace each lead one-for-one as they were. However, I'm still facing issues with getting the car to start.

I found this BMW 3 Series E21 (1977-1985) Workshop Repair Manual PDF at https://workshopmanuals.org/product/...ir-manual-pdf/ which outlines the firing order and procedures. I’m wondering if anyone could help me figure out which spark plug lead goes into which receptacle on the distributor.

Here’s the BMW Workshop Repair Manuals Download page for more information: https://workshopmanuals.org/product-...uals-download/

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
