2020 keyless entry/rear lift gate issue
Having an issue with the rear lift gate on our expedition.
Has the proximity key fob, and it woks as it should, with everything except the lift gate. If it is locked, and I have the FOB in my pocket, I can open any of the doors, and the back glass. But, the lift gate will not open unless I first press the unlock button on the fob. If it is already unlocked, the lift gate button works as it should. Any ideas?

Re: 2020 keyless entry/rear lift gate issue
I believe if all the doors are locked and you open one door the others are still locked.

Quote:
The issue I am having is with the rear lift gate. There are two "buttons" on the lift gate. One of them opens the glass only, and the other one opens the whole lift gate. If the expedition is locked and I approach with the fob in my pocket, I should be able to press the lift gate button, and open the lift gate. However, it is acting like the fob is not detected. If I unlock the car first; either by opening a door, or pressing the unlock button on the fob, then the lift gate will open normally. The "glass only" button still works normally. I can approach the locked vehicle with the fob in my pocket, and simply press the "window" button, and it will open.
