Re: Porsche 911 996 Turbo

Over the weekend I've painted the interior, The steering and seats have not been fixed yet. I want to add the seat belts first.

Re: Porsche 911 996 Turbo

I've added the last bits (seat belts) to the interior. This is now ready and set aside.

Next will be either polishing the clear coat or start with the undercariage.

Re: Porsche 911 996 Turbo

Then it was time to polish the body

Half way there, the roof looks good...

...and about 1 hour later, the nose looks shiny too

Time to wrap up the body and paint the black trim.

Re: Porsche 911 996 Turbo

With the car fully wrapped it was time to hit the spray booth.

... and I just love peeling away tape to reveal a perfect black trim with zerop paint bleed!

Re: Porsche 911 996 Turbo

In all my recent projects, I always create the coil-over springs. I know you can barely see them once all is finished, but it's such an easy job that just create them.

And for the exhaust, I've managed to create the exhaust manifold. Detail level needs to be a bit higher, but the part fits seamlessly on the Tamiya kit.

Next up will be the muffler, so I can position the turbos and other hardware in between.

It has been a while since I ordered it, so I'm not sure how long it took exactly. I think it was somewhere between 1 and 2 months as the kit was created on demand. I did get a clear email of the steps for ordering and delivery.

The suspention is about done. The biggest hurdle is that exhaust.
But after some hours studying on my 3D knowledge, I have been progressing on the turbo compressor.
