Ducati v4r

I think my last post here was over 10 years ago... maybe. Anyway, I'm not much into FB or other social media but do enjoy sharing builds and techniques that help other modellers create better models so, here is my latest build progress. The absolutely awesome Tamiya Ducati Superleggera V4 modified into the even more awesome V4R.

I started by building the stock Tamiya kit which is a sensational kit to start with, and then the V4J just because the colour is so polarising. These were just practice for the V4R. The first was just out of box and the second was a bit more detailed using an aftermarket exhaust and the excellent Mix Hobby V4J decals..

The V4R however is going to be much more detailed..

Spotmodel has the Decalas versions for sale. Both the standard and race setups. 👍🏼

The decal set had them for the seat but applying decals over alcantra paint is the trick.. lots of decal solution and it can be done then a very flat clear coat to lock it in
