yea there was rust starting to come down and take over the end of the hatch, and it was coming off. half of it was completely off and it was rattling.... it had to go.
as long as rust doesnt start coming you can keep it on and save some money, but once the rust starts coming dont let it drip beyond the hatch or you'll have some trouble.

i as well hate that spoiler. it doesn't even look like it would do anything, it just looks like an oval-eque piece of something stuck on the hatch for some reason. your car looks cleaner now...but you really need a 5-speed.
