I had to learn this the hard way. I used to have my own pity parties and feel sorry for myself. I had to get off my ass one day and actually do something about it. And start thinking positively. Once I changed my attitude things started looking up. I still backslide sometimes but have to keep reminding myself how no so far that attitude takes me.
As for your parents not letting you drive....ask them to sit down and chat one of these days. Tell them you are your own person and just because your brother street races doesn't mean you intend to. Tell them that you want to prove you can be trusted with a vehicle. Let them know you want to get a job so you can start learning how to deal with life "in the real world" and can contribute to gas and insurance if they will let you drive. And if they do decide to let you drive and get a job then stick to any promises you make and don't flake out on them.

Thanks. The attitude needs to be changed I guess.
I've had many many many chats with my father (about 30) about driving. I told him I was'nt gonna streetrace just becasue my brother did, I told them I can be trusted with a car. I told them everything. Did'nt work. My dad is way too stuborn (spelling?) but my mom wants me to drive because she knows I'mm be much happier if I have more freedom.
Thanks for your suggestions katWoman.
