don't be worried about the "drift your civic" thing. i was worried too when i first saw it, but now that i bought a copy of the magazine, i found that it's not as bad as i worried. all that it is, is a question and answer with some of the "big names" in the north american track racing scene. they ask the guy's opinions about whether or not FF cars can drift. they ask guys such as Roger Foo (SCCA racer, drives a Protege 5, he answered "no"), Benson Hsu (proprieter of
www.sileightymania.com, winner of amateur drift contest at Drift Showoff, he answered "no), Bryan Norris (SoCal drifter, drove the JIC 240SX at Drift Showoff, answered "yes" surprisingly), and a couple of others. more people answered no then yes, and there were no step-by-step instructions or anything like that. all it was, was the questions and answers. so don't be worried! in fact, i highly recommend you pick up an issue. it's pretty fappin' good for a first try. the only error i noticed was that they labelled Koguchi's red 180SX (the one he had at Drift Showoff) as having a CA18DET, and right beside that, there's a blatant picture of his SR20DET, the actual engine in that car. but oh well, can't be perfect. and i've started to stop worrying about drifting getting big. as long as it doesn't go totally ricey and played out, then who cares? we drift to have fun, so as long as we're still having fun, who cares if some little rice-boy crashes his Civic trying to drift? just keep it on the track, and have fun.
