aright, so i'm finally getting a new suspension this summer. i searched the forums yesterday for every topic dealing with coilover sleeves vs coilovers vs springs...and its pretty crazy out there! a friend of mine told me that coilovers are more adjustable overall BUT you have to adjust them prior to each surface that you're going to be driving/racing on - making them perfect for actual racing, GT, whatever. he also said that with a good set of springs/shocks (by shocks i mean like...koni yellows. misconceptions throw everything off) you'll get better average performance in any area. my goal is GT style mods. with this car i would never spend the amount to make a true GT car, but thats the direction i'm going. so...lots of hard turns, random drag-like straightaways, and eventually i want to eliminate most of the understeer. and this car is a daily driver, so i have to consider the harshness of the ride around town (eliminating true coilovers from what i hear?).
so i guess my question is, what are the application differences between springs/dampers, coilover sleeves, and coilovers? after reading everything i still havent gotten a clear answer to that. thanks
