They already imported a batch. After months of delays they were finally delivered to the customers, registered and street driven. HOWEVER they have not been approved by the
HTSA. EI's parent company has taken possession of the cars and has had them for a couple months now. Their fate is unknown as of yet.
For the record, at least two of those imported were registered and insured in CA.
