After driving my G35 coupe for a month, I had noticed a few paint chips as well. I assumed they occurred during my morning commute on the freeway. I ended up getting the 3M paint protector film put on my car and it's worked great....not one chip since and it's been about 4 months. Everywhere I ask charged from $500 to $900 for the installation. So, I purchased the film myself and installed it myself--cost only about $250. Installation was fairly easy.
