why doesnt it perform in the low rpms? is it because the large port area doesnt create enough vaccuum to suck in enough fuel/air mixture? if so, couldn they have an adjustable plate that covers it during idle and low rpm and gradually uncovers as rpm increases - kinda like the equivalent of a vtec system in a piston engine. also, why do they become less durable?
