if it got hydrolocked, you wouldnt be able to turn it over anyways, cuz water cant compress, and the damage probably occured wqhen it locked, not when he tried to crank it, imagine driving and your engine is spinning pretty fast, then water gos into the cylinder, piston starts going up, then it gets to a point where it cdant go anywhere, and your engine just stops, the crank is pushing up and at a high speed, then when the piston stops, all that force from the crank has got to go somewhere, and it probably will go right to the rod and bend it, but it would be much cheaper to take it out and rebuild it that to get a GSR swap, but if hes been wanting to for a while, its the perfect time to. or he could just get the B18c1 longblock and ECU/harness from a GSR and do some wiring work, and then you got the GSAR power and the lower rpm's on the freeway, wont be as fast as a normal GSR cuz of taller gearing tho.
