Make sure the "thicker" oil you use is within Honda's recommendations - keep in mind that on startup it wont circulate as quickly either leading to lower engine life.
I won't go lower than 5-50 Mobil 1 but I occasionally drop in Honda "Type-R" 10-30.
All Honda drivetrain clatters after a while - I've noticed the B16As are the worst offenders... even if the valves are to spec you get some noise.
