225's wont fit on a 6" rim. it's a VERY tight stuff on a 6.5" rim, with some brands with very stiff sidewalls not fitting... most shops wont do it. it even looks ungainly on a 7" rim. 225's are designed to fit properly on an 7.5-8" rim width. besides, GS-R stock rim width is 6.5", not 6". 15" x 6.5" wheels.
Actually 225s do fit on a 6" rim. Bunch of my friends who run in stock class have 225 Hoosiers on their Type R and Si wheels.
