first check the first confirmation email from hlj. they should have a link to check the status of your order. this will let you know if the items that you have ordered are currently in stock or on backorder.
hlj charges your card only when they ship the items. i think they do this so that the shipping is accurate. since you paid or will pay by paypal, they can't charge you any money since hlj doesn't know how much to charge you yet.
when your items do ship, you will receive an email stating that your items have been shipped and your card charged for the order amount. that's when your paypal or credit card is actually charged.
