A few helpful tips.
Go through some of your profile functions (found near the top of the AF window) to see how the thread display can be changed. There are lots of threads that will not be displayed unless you change your settings to display "since the beginning". You can also choose to display other settings like show threads in the last 10 days.
One thing I just saw recently is you can filter off Avatars and photos if you have a slow internet connection.
At the top of your message replies are several controls to help you put different size type, colors etc. One of the nicer features is you can direcly upload pictures from your computer. You don't need internet storage to share you pictures with other members.
