Dude...what part did you remove???

When I took the EX handles off at the junkyard, I left most of the assembly intact. I took off the two 10 mm bolts that bolt it to the door, and then I untwisted the handle off the threaded rod, being careful not to scratch the paint on the door as I twisted..that seemed the easiest way to me.

I think I also loosened the catch part (3 big phillips screws in end of door) to loosen up the whole thing and make it easier to manipulate...it wouldn't hurt to do that anyway to adjust it properly after re-install.
