My air/fuel ratio gauge reads between lean and the top side of rich but never really rides in the rich side. I know this is o.k. but would I benefit from increasing the pressure or would this be a waste of time and money?
Don't waste your money. Adjusting your fuel with pressure is the ghetto way to do it. The SR20 uses a hot wire MAF and will adjust for additional airflow, unlike the MAP system in Honduhs and some other cars.

Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but air/fuel gauges are a total waste of money. They are not sensitive enough for tuning and can even screw with the ECU reading the O2 sensor.

I agree with Jason all the way.
