I suggest you first, choose automatic as shifting is definitely out of the question. Second, keep the analog for steering. Use the regular accelarator/brake buttons. Then set the controller on a table or something, where it won't move. Then, with your thumb you can steer and use your index and middle finger for accel/brakes. I've done and it works. It's a little awkward at first, but you'll eventually get used to it and drive like your using two hands.
