Oh, much better with a stock BB turbo. They are also available relatively cheaply.

Here's the deal..... installing a poorly sized turbo is going to be very frustrating. Sizing is the key to reduced lag as well as decent power. Old school turbos were almost always poorly sized and that is what caused a lot of bad feelings about turbos. It was for me. Now I've finally seen the light, although a well built NA engine has a certain elegance, for lack of a better word.
