Please tell me that this isn't true. If it is true then I've lost all respect I've ever had for Ferrari.
F50 Engine specs:
286.7 cubic inches displacement.
513hp @ 8500rpm
Now despite the fact that 8500rpm is a rediculous speed for an engine to develope it's peak power at, just take a look at those figures again.
That's only 1.7hp per cubic inch, and at 8500rpm!
For the love of pie, my Subaru 360 produces 1.2hp per cubic inch at 5500rpm! - what's wrong with this picture?
Tell me it aint so!
