It should work if the remotes work.
Here is an excert from the manual.
Power Sliding Door
If the vehicle is equipped with a power sliding door (E58), the transmitter will have a power sliding door button. Press the power sliding door button in order to open the power sliding door. To close the power sliding door, press the power sliding door button again.
If the sliding door is locked, perform the following steps:
Unlock all of the vehicle doors.
Refer to Driver Door and All Door Unlock.
Press the power sliding door button in order to open the power sliding door.
Press the power sliding door button again in order to close the power sliding door.
You can operate the power sliding door with the transmitter only when the power sliding door override switch on the overhead console is off.
