So you are trying to tell me that if my engine runs hotter I am getting more HP? What a load of bullshit!!

There is a temperature point which the engine will run optimal, but heat does not create power, the thermostat controls the heat.

So, Brian, if heat creates HP, why should I put a cold air intake on my car? To get cooler air into the engine? Cooler air gives me more HP right?

The cover on the headers is a heat shield to protect the rest of the engine, not keep the heat in the engine......
