I think that you would be very unhappy with a supercharger. Superchargers actually rob power on low end because they dont produce enough boost at low rpm to compisate for the extra weight your engine has to turn. You would have to take off at high revs all the time. And since our cars are not known for their torque you need all the low end you can get. If you wanna go forced induction a turbo is definetly the way to go. If you only push 8 - 12 psi then you can get a real small turbo that spools up real fast and you dont have to worry about much lag.
