Talking Hi everyone, one newbie!!!

Hey wuts goin on guys,

Hope im not joining the party a little late. I been browsing around and I found this forum to be pretty cool. So i decided to join and get some expert advice from you all. I been building model cars and planes since I was a kid, but I never learned how to paint and spray car bodies and what not. Anyways my friends birthday was comming up, and my hands were a lil itchy so I bought a R32 model from tamiya, and then BAM! Model wheel was screaming and i started building again, from a long long long break. But So far I have two projects and a completed Tamiya R34 in bayside blue. One project nearly finished is the R33 Nismo spec from Fujimi. Its pretty good I guess. I hope to take some pics for you guys soon. But here is the tough question. I never mixed paint before and I tried to get that Midnight purple for the tamiya R33; which btw is my second project started juss tonight. I can't get the purple to look right. I know I should use 1 part chrome silver, 10 part purple, and 40 part clear red. Expecting all the colors and names are from the Tamiya acryilic sets. But i can't get that deep color, its either too red or yeah. Just don't look like the one from the website. So i hope im not a bother, and i hope to see a response from you guys, and once again thanks for letting me into this forum.

Cheers,

Peter Wong

PS. My goal is now to build all three generations of the GTR family from tamiya and do three "tuned" GTR set from Fujimi... one of them is the Nismo R33 that i am working on, Hope to get the HKS Kansai R33 kit, and I hope to find another one to complete the set.
