that depends on you. do you know any shops? got any hook ups for parts? i got hook ups for pretty much everything around my area but i think you could still get it done for that price. maybe with not all those parts i listed originally but if you just get the mandatory parts. for example just get the block with the bottome end in it, then change the pistons, and bolt on the head or rebuild it first then bolt it on. thats about as basic as it gets. wont give you 200hp right awaybut will have insane tuning capability.250 at the wheels is not uncommon. but that basic setup i told you about now would run you about 4 grand in parts and labor. the labor will kill you if you cant do at least some of it yourself. and also you should find a shop that has done this before. they know best. even if you have to drive a little further find a shop thats done it, you wont regret it.

CRVTEC
PROS:very highly tunable, lots of torque, unique
CONS:more expensive then h22, MAY not be as reliable as other engines
H22
PROS: reliable, cheap
CONS:less hp, less tuning
