I know this is too late but a tip about cutting clear parts first of all do not cut super close. Use a new single edge blade to cut parts, place tem on something soft and suuport the area to be cut. You can also use flush cutting side cutters, placing the flat flush side of the blade towards the part to be cut and the angled side of blade away from part. This insures the the sprue will be stressed and pulled away from the part instead of the other way around. Then use a abrasive stick or sandpaper to remove the excess plastic still on part.
