I take it you play GT alot? If so just take the halves apart on the PSone controller and clean it out, put it together and the X should work fine, thats what happened to mine. I have broken many a things, I sold my PSone to a second hand shop because I beat it up so bad that the lense took around 10 minutes to load GT2
