mine is an 87 GT-S....had the same problem....i'm not sure if yours is the motor or what...but on mine it was just the button wasn't hittin the switch right...so i took the cover off the control board and had to adjust the controls up there...check that first...i've heard of a couple other people with the same problem...
when you push the button, can you hear the little motor or not?
