for E28 i know that the whells wher 16 inchs in 225 large.
for E34 4 kind of size : before mid 1994 17 inchs in 235/40 17front and rear or if nurburgring option 255/35 18 rear and unchanged front.
after mid 1994 245/40 18 front and rear but with diferent whells 8 inch front and 9 inch rear ( you could put 265/35 18 in rear.
