I was wrong the first time i typed you a reply. I asked someone who knows a lot about cars and a brake accumulator is either a small black ball or a small cylinder somewhere by the master cylinder. It's used to help assist in breaking. It stores brake fluid under about 2000 pounds of pressure. I myself never herd of the term either, untill i read about your problem.
